Automatic sitemap discovery
Point MonitorGiant at your domain and it fetches sitemap.xml, sitemap_index.xml, or any custom sitemap path automatically. Nested sitemaps are followed recursively — no manual URL lists required.
HEAD-only checks — fast and lightweight
Each URL is checked with an HTTP HEAD request, not a full page load. This means faster scans, lower bandwidth usage, and no side effects on your server — even across hundreds of URLs.
Consolidated alerts, not a flood
When a scan finds broken links, MonitorGiant groups all failures into a single alert with a summary count and a full list. You get one notification per scan cycle — not one per broken URL.
Redirect chain detection
Identifies URLs that redirect through multiple hops before reaching a final destination. Long redirect chains slow your site and confuse crawlers. MonitorGiant flags them so you can clean them up.
Response time tracking per URL
Tracks how fast each page responds over time. Slow URLs that still return 200 OK can silently hurt SEO and user experience — response time history helps you spot regressions before they become problems.
Scan diff — new and removed URLs
After each scan, MonitorGiant compares the current sitemap to the previous one. New URLs added and URLs removed are logged and optionally alerted — useful for catching accidental page deletions or unexpected publishing.
